Product Feature Differences in Version 7 between Active Directory and Entra ID for user directory

This is a list of the key product feature differences when deploying MyWorkDrive on a domain joined server with Active Directory for user database/identity vs a stand alone server using Entra ID for identity. Features not listed here are equivalently available in either configuration.
Installing using Active Directory requires MyWorkDrive to be installed on a Domain Joined server, and for all users to have Active Directory Accounts.
Installing using Entra ID requires MyWorkDrive to have access to an App Registration in Azure which enables Graph API access to Entra ID, as outlined here. Users must have Entra ID accounts to access MyWorkDrive. The App Registration can be created and linked to MyWorkDrive automatically for you as part of the MyWorkDrive setup process.
