Map Drive - Minimum Connection Speed

MyWorkDrive will warn users logging in to the Map Drive if their connection speed is insufficient to reliably use the Map Drive Client.

The map drive client conducts a speed test during login (which, as of version 7.0.1, is reported back to the user's log on the server).

The speed test and log are in Megabits per second (Mb/s) - not Megabytes (MB/s)

The threshold for warning the user is 5MB/s or 40Mb/s (previously 2MB/s or 16 Mb/s on version 6.4 and earlier)

Users may choose to continue to use the MyWorkDrive client by clicking "OK" to the warning message; however, they are likely to experience long login and load times, as well as poor saving performance and frequent warnings about server connections.

As advised in the warning, our recommendation is to switch to the web client when experiencing low bandwidth, as it causes less data to need to be shared with the local computer.
